Here are some offscreen gameplay demo's from GamesCon which show character creation, and map use.
Guild Wars 2 Gamescon 2010 Game Footage - Video 1
This video shows the character creation scenes, the user chooses a Charr Necromancer, who promptly creates some Minions so I guess this means MM are defiantly around in GW2. Later in the Video it looks like the Necro goes into "Death Shroud" mode. He later dies. We also see inventory screens, and map travel.
Guild Wars 2 Gamescon 2010 Game Footage - Video 2
This video starts out with what seems to be a Charr Ranger taking on an Event in Guild Wars 2, don't know what the tornado is, Maybe Whirling Defenses form? Later the video seems to follow a Charr Warrior. One Charr battles a large nasty looking dragon at one point, and loses. At one point a Charr seems to run seamlessly from instance into a common area, and back out again. Interesting.. GW2 Discussion:
